There have been many additions to the Gold Personal Premium subscription; one of the major features is the latest
version of TreeView which now allows you to record and share your family
tree and lets you know of matches found in other trees. Subscribers can then
request details of the matches. It also finds matches in our records.
We have also added the following records:
We have now added another 13 million marriage
transcripts to TheGenealogist, bringing our total up to over 55 million.
These transcripts allow you to easily search for either partner
and uses Smart Search to see partners. The records are fully
printable. We now have the years 1930-2005 as a fully searchable
database.
Last month's featured article focused on the British
Blonde Bombshell, Diana Dors. Her marriage to Dennis Gittins can
be found in our marriage transcripts:

Yorkshire Parish Records
We have added Parish Record transcriptions and printed
books for Yorkshire. These cover many areas including Leeds
& Sheffield.
See full coverage at www.TheGenealogist.co.uk. |
Yorkshire Directories
These cover both trade and residential areas and are easily
accessable through our new interface.
See full coverage at www.TheGenealogist.co.uk. |
Worcestershire Parish Record Transcript
We have added over 55,000 individuals to
our transcript for
Worcestershire, in partnership with Malvern
Family History Society, expanding our coverage and bringing the
total to over 575,000 individuals. |
PCC Wills Index and Images
We have added to our PCC Wills and probate
records, bringing the total number of records to over
685,000. This includes the will for William
Shakespeare, dated 1616. The wills are searchable
by name, year of will, year of probate, area and profession. The
search results also show the image of the original
record. We now have over 140 years'
worth of wills available. This will shortly be expanded to cover
all years. |

Access your tree wherever you are in the world.
In the first of our series of TreeView hints and tips I'll be showing you how easy it is to print an
all-in-one tree of your relatives using your standard A4 printer that you're likely to
have at home in 5 simple steps.
Tools you will need: PC, Printer, Scissors/Guillotine, sticky tape/glue.
Step 1 Start TreeView by going to TreeView.co.uk (If you have not already got an account, it is free to
sign up).
Step 2 If you haven't already loaded your family tree into TreeView, you
can import your gedcom file by clicking Tools and then import.
Step 3 Click on the "Full Tree" button (The one with a picture
of a tree). Once this has loaded, click the printer icon, this will then generate an
adobe pdf (You can download the adobe pdf reader freely here).
Step 4 After you have printed this document, you will notice at the
bottom right hand corner of each page a number such as “1,3” this number
corresponds with where that particular page belongs in a grid to make your family tree
up. The first number is the row going from top to bottom, the second number is the
column, going from left to right.
Step 5 Once you have organised your tree into the grid, you can trim off
the edges and stick the pages together. Alternatively you can stick them on to some
mounting board using mount spray, both of which are available from your local art shop.
