The questions are:
1. Henry Pelham, Whig politician and Prime Minister from
1743 to 1754, left a comprehensive Will. Looking at the original document, what was the
maximum amount of money Henry Pelham's executors could spend on his vault?
2. 1851 was the first census to show the occupation of
'aeronaut'. Can you find which aeronaut is the odd one out? They were all regularly in
the news at the time.
3. James Scott, the 1st Duke of Monmouth and illegitimate
son of Charles II was executed by beheading in 1685 after making an unsuccessful attempt
at the Battle of Sedgemoor to depose his uncle, King James II, commonly called the
Monmouth Rebellion. From the original record, how many men did he initially land with in
Lyme Regis on the 11th June 1685 as he launched the Monmouth rebellion?
