Directory from 1899-1900 that is already available on

National Telephone Directory which adds a resource for finding
names and addresses before the 1911 census. In addition,

These new records reveal the names of U.S. military as well as
U.S. and some Allied civilians who were prisoners of war and
internees. They cover the years 1942-1947 for prisoners of both
Germany and Japan. The record for each prisoner provides such
information as serial number, personal name, branch of service
or civilian status and much more.

It was 100 years ago at The Battle of Jutland - a 72-hour clash
between the Royal Navy and the Imperial German Navy - that John
Travers Cornwell, of His Majesty's Ship Chester, was to
have his first and last encounter with the enemy. This ordinary
lad from London was the youngest recipient of the Victoria Cross
in World War One; the highest military decoration awarded for
valour in the face of the enemy.
