There have been many additions to our Personal Premium subscriptions. We
have also recently announced that the 1911 census is to be included in
our Diamond Subscription, which
includes all the content from our Gold subscription and more.
Nothing brings a family together like a wedding and "marriage" will
certainly be a headliner in 2011, thanks to Prince William and Kate Middleton, and also Princess Anne’s
daughter Zara.
As you enjoy the final days of 2010, we’ve decided to add to the
festivities and have now completed our marriage transcripts
from 1837 to 2005 giving a total of just under 100 million
records!
These will be available to all Premium and Personal Plus
subscribers from Christmas Day.
The transcripts are searchable by name, year, district, partner’s
surname, county, volume and page number, with original images and smart
search to locate the marriage partner.

Christmas is the time of year when we put the trials of daily life behind us to spend
time with our family. The past traditions of gathering around the piano or reading
stories and poems have moved onto the modern tradition of gathering around the
television, with Austen’s period dramas often a family favourite.
It’s not hard to see where Jane Austin found her inspiration for her novels, with a
life of heartbreak, tragedy and financial hardship but with strong family ties till the
end.
