Growing Family Trees Marriages are an important event in any family and May saw our son David, S&N sales manager, marry Becky, the S&N sales supervisor. They've just got back from their honeymoon after having a great time. Later this year, our son Mark, who's our web programmer, will be marrying Sian. Quite a year for any family business. All three of our boys work for S&N and help out at fairs. Nigel, Mark and David give demonstrations and talks. See our facebook page for news, discussions and photos of events. You can also follow TheGenealogist on Twitter and GenealogySupplies on Twitter too! Millions of records have been added to TheGenealogist.co.uk over just the last week. Also the UK version of RootsMagic 4 has just been updated. If your society would like Mark or Nigel to give a free talk on TheGenealogist or RootsMagic 4, please ring 01722 716121 and press 1. We are sponsoring two family history events this year; The National Family History Show at Gateshead and York Family History Fair at York racecourse. See our events section for details. Come and see us at events like Maidstone, Swindon or York and benefit from show specials. We will also be giving talks on Online Research and Software at York and Gateshead. Growing trees is an important social factor to families and cities. We want to help prevent our city streets from becoming a barren wilderness so we are sponsoring Trees for Cities and are offering a special Father's Day Gift. You can subscribe to TG and have a tree planted in your name with our FamilyRoots offer. This month read our prize winning article on how our Quaker records allowed a Canadian family historian to finally trace her roots to Bristol. If you have an interesting tale to tell about how our records have helped you to trace your roots to fame or discover a celebrity relative, you could win £100 worth of vouchers. The best article of the year wins a computer. All the best Sue and Nigel (S&N) |
