Early photographs of a Southport Suburb by Mark Sargant and Matthew Tinker (Sefton Libraries). This album contains fifty early pictures of Birkdale. They cover the period from the foundation of Birkdale Park as a select seaside suburb to the end of the 2nd World War. A full list of the photograph and a guide to further reading can be found at the back of the book.
