This booklet by Nigel Wardell covers one branch of the Coulson family, which spawned several generations of millers, wheelwrights and wood-turners. They worked at least 12 different mills between the North York Moors and the coast. The Coulsons married into the Garbutt, Ayre and Cowell families, all of whom were millers or closely related to millers.
